Fédération Internationale de Football Association
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association is the international governing body of association football, futsal and beach soccer, solely responsible for organizing and promoting major international tournaments of football around the world. FIFA does not control the rules of football, as the International Football Association Board has jurisdiction over the laws of the game. The current headquarters of FIFA are located in Zurich, Switzerland and the president is Gianni Infantino. Comprising of 211 national associations, each member belongs to one of 6 confederations of the world. Also, FIFA has more member states than the UN as FIFA also recognizes 23 non-sovereign entities as distinct nations, such as Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Palestine.
As association football became apparent at the beginning of the 20th century, FIFA was founded on May 1904 by several European associations for the promotion of association football. After its establishment, FIFA had two goals; to increase membership and to plan the first international competition. The first World Cup was held in Uruguay in 1930, however only 4 nations participated as the aftermath of the First World War made it difficult to maintain the association. By 1954, FIFA had 85 member nations.
FIFA is governed by three bodies: the Executive Committee, the FIFA Congress and the Standing Committees. The FIFA Congress is FIFA’s supreme body made up of all 211 associations with each member holding one vote. The Congress meets annually to hold discussions regarding statues, accept new members and on holding elections. The executive committee meets twice a year to decide on dates, formats and locations of international tournaments. FIFA also consists of 25 standing committees including the Ethics and Disciplinary committees, who assist the secretary-general and work for the development of football.

Sakchham Karki
Chair
Sakchham is very determined to achieve the goals he sets for himself and works hard to give his best at what he does, may it be in tennis, as a chair of MUN, or in his academic works. He is a compassionate and social being who always strives to make sure that people around him feel comfortable. There is a certain aura of leadership and confidence that surrounds Sakchham while he performs any task. Not only does he give his all for each and every of his duties, he seems to sincerely enjoy them. He is certainly one of the best looking, muscular and attractive Chairs in this RBS MUN.
A Liverpool fan who, will get hyper for no apparent reason, has the ability to make a dead place look lively. He will not give up, no matter how hard it may seem. When he loses a match or misses a goal, he will get right back up and try again. Often someone who uses quotes for everything wanted me to put this out there, “Always put the things you want to do at last so you’re really working hard for it till the end.”
Prakriti Kandel
Vice chair
If you've got Prakriti Kandel as your vice chair, well, you're in for quite a ride this MUN. Hardworking and dedicated, she has already won several awards in MUNs in and out of school, and is one of the most experienced MUNers of her class. She has strong opinions and is very serious about the social issues of Nepal. An avid reader of all things fiction and non-fiction, she will gladly share about the book she just finished perusing, and in fact, will be happy to recommend a good read or two. However, don't be fooled by her bright smiles and talkative nature- she is serious when she comes to work, so even if you are not into public speaking and debating, show her that you've put in an effort- she doesn’t hold people who take things too lightly in high regards. But if you want to hone your debating skills, just talk to her and present a controversial opinion; you will learn a lot by simply listening to her! Though she may not be the most approachable person, she will warm up to you if you make an effort.
Samata Bajracharya
Moderator
One thing the delegates of FIFA should know about their moderator is that degrading Chelsea in front of her is not a very smart thing to do. Samata is one of the biggest Chelsea fans you’ll meet. With even the minutest of details on her fingertips, she has profound knowledge on football. So, don’t even think you can fool her with wrong facts. In addition to having a smart personality, Samata is also very approachable and understanding. If you have any problems, you can always count on her to listen and give good advice. Don’t get carried away by her smile because behind that exists a very short tempered rage monster, and trust me, you don’t want to annoy her. Samata looks for very hard working delegates; so you don’t necessarily have to be brilliant in order to impress her, just be very hard working. She will definitely put everyone smiling with her very easy going attitude. From learning debate procedures to explaining the topics, she will assist you without hesitation. So, definitely feel free to talk to Samata as she will be there for you.
