Nepal Cabinet
The India – Nepal bilateral cabinet is a specialized summit between the ministries of these two neighboring countries set to tackle the issues of contention between these countries so they can move past their differences and work in harmony for reginal co-operation and the eventual growth of both countries. The Nepal cabinet consists of the Prime- Minister’s cabinet as elected by the parliament. The ministries who are concerned by the issue along with international players and regional partners along with the Indian Ambassador to Nepal. Likewise the Indian cabinet consists of the Ministers in the Indian Cabinet and various international counterparts along with the Nepali ambassador.
These two cabinets will hold discussions in their own small councils at first, then move on to a joint session to negotiate the terms of the issue. This way after multiple sessions, the bilateral summit will iron out all kinks and present an outcome that is favorable to the citizens of both countries.
Aakash Pant
Chair
Blessed with a humble heart and one of the most genuine souls one could ever come across, the delegates of the Nepali Cabinet should consider themselves the luckiest to have the most enthusiastic debater, Aakash Pant, as their chairperson for the RBS MUN 2016. Having a plethora of awards in numerous national and international MUN conferences to his name, Aakash debates like his life depends on it. Therefore, it isn’t a surprise to know that he represented the entire of our country Nepal, in the World School Debate Championship held in Germany. Your 'doctor to-be' chair has a copious amount of knowledge stored in that brilliant brain of his, so do not expect to get away with presenting false facts. An extremely down-to-earth person, he leaves everyone awestruck with his irresistible charm (*cough*ladies). Though he might seem quite intimidating, he is rather friendly and accommodating. As someone who believes in earning respect and not asking for it, Aakash will want the committee to put in at least half as much efforts into research as he does.
Aakash introduces people he converses with the intricate concepts and ideas he has devised over the years, but only those close to him are fortunate enough to hear what truly goes on in his mastermind. His chill attitude along with his passion for rock climbing and adventure makes him one of the best people to travel with, probably encouraging his co-voyagers to part-take in some outrageous yet interesting activities.
Though very grounded and simple, Aakash is also a lot like a mini Robin Hood, (cruising around on his cycle, sometimes making seven foot jumps over hills and even breaking a few bones in the process). Exceptionally outspoken and assertive, Aakash will, without a shadow of doubt, make the Nepali Cabinet THE place to be this MUN.
Arzoo Karki
Vice chair
Arzoo, (often known as Zoo), is the epitome beauty with brains, and perhaps, the most optimistic person you'll ever come across.
With a smile ready for whomever she meets and an extremely helpful attitude, Arzoo's generous and charming traits will remind you of a Disney princess. Diligent and hardworking, yet light hearted and fun loving, your vice chair will make your committee the liveliest amongst all especially with her carefree and infectious laughter. Being awarded the Outstanding Delegate in her very first MUN, her skills as a debater aren't to be undermined. Having the capacity to bring out the best in others as well as giving her best to every little thing she does, your vice chair expects the same level of effort and dedication from her delegates.
Arzoo leaves no stone unturned and expects the committee to be equally active and well-informed. Her debating side may be fierce and cynical but her softer side is generous in helping the first timers and will make sure you are comfortable and confident enough to speak during sessions. So, do not hesitate to approach her for she will always have your back and go out of her way to help you.
Always ready to break a leg (and join anyone on a lunch date), delegates of the Nepal Cabinet would be delighted to have Arzoo as their vice chair.
Franshika Pandey
Moderator
With her bold yet gentle nature, Franshika is undoubtedly one of the most coolheaded people you will come across your entire life. Her genial nature is sure to comfort you, to the extent you can even use your sense of humour to impress her. There is absolutely no reason to feel timorous to reach out to your moderator for help. She has an utterly divine voice (expect some humming throughout the session but don’t let it hypnotize you) and is a splendidly elegant dancer; isn’t it a big relief to know that the ‘motion for entertainment’ is going to be nothing short of captivating? Adding to the list of her exceptional knacks, she is a gifted gourmand (you’ve got to trust me when I say gifted because you and I will never understand the radiance of nosh better than she does), well-researched about almost every single eatery in town.
However, do not mistake her “chill” behaviour for thinking that you can slack away in the committee. With four MUN experiences to boot, she is abundantly equipped with tools to direct the committee in the most spellbinding avenue. She will unequivocally do all that it takes to make sure that every minute in the committee is action-packed, assuring you an unexcelled MUN experience.
